Green Career Opportunities by IWF (Indonesian Women’s Forum)

Nadia Febina was invited as one of the speakers at IWF (Indonesian Women’s Forum) event last December 2023 at Senayan City in collaboration with Femina Magazine. The event was to promote sustainable lifestyles and green career opportunities in Indonesia.

Many people are increasingly aware of the issue of climate change, so the need for jobs that contribute to environmental preservation is increasing. The more people are involved, the greater the positive impact on the environment and society.

Green career growth also has the potential to create new types of jobs. Lumare Energy has a mission to build Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) in Indonesia, utilizing the potential of ocean thermal as an environmentally friendly energy source. In line with Nadia, Diah R. Sulistiowati from WWF agrees that pursuing a green career does not require a certain educational background. Whatever the field of work, from finance, and communications, to fashion, everyone can try to apply the green career concept and still make a profit. “I see green careers could become something mainstream in the future, especially with the net zero emission plan from the goverment,” says Nadia during the sharing session at IWF.
