Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

LUMARE will contribute directly and indirectly to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) that have been set for the year 2030 by the United Nations General Assembly. Through our proven technology and our approach to sustainability in the areas of climate action, clean energy, clean water and blue economy, LUMARE focuses on the SDGs that it impacts the most.

  • No Poverty

LUMARE aims to contribute to SDG 1 through its by-products from the Deep Sea Water (DSW) that can be utilised for improving fishery, aquaculture and salt production.

With our proven technology, we plan to create sustainable local communities through our approach to the blue economy and by creating job opportunities for the local residents.

We plan to create access to energy services and generate electricity for the rural areas and remote islands in Indonesia which can increase productivity and therefore increase employment and income generation to alleviate poverty.

  • Zero Hunger

With LUMARE’s technology in energy generation and our by-products from the Deep Sea Water (DSW), we aim to achieve food security and promote sustainable communities through our approach to the blue economy and aquaculture.

We plan to create access to energy services and generate electricity for the rural areas and remote islands in Indonesia which can increase productivity and therefore increase employment and income generation to alleviate hunger.

  • Gender Equality

LUMARE Energi was founded and built by women. We recognise that the potential of women has not been fully realised. We believe in the strength, potential and qualities of women and girls including those in the rural areas of developing countries.

With our business, we plan to achieve gender equality, eliminate the gender wage gaps and empower women and girls worldwide.

  • Clean Water and Sanitation

Through our technology, we plan to produce and ensure the availability and create sustainable management of water and sanitation, by giving access to drinking water to the local communities.

Our zero-emission technology will also help to reduce climate change and reduce water scarcity.

  • Affordable and Clean Energy

By harnessing the ocean's potential, our technology will be able to generate clean energy that is renewable and also baseload, with zero emissions.

We aim to close the energy access gap between the rural areas and the cities. We also plan to increase access to reliable and sustainable energy, especially in the rural areas and remote islands of Indonesia, giving them new economic and job opportunities, providing more sustainable, equitable communities, and greater resilience to climate change.

  • Sustainable Cities and Communities

With our technology, we aim to increase access to reliable and sustainable energy, especially in the rural areas and remote islands of Indonesia, giving them new economic and job opportunities, providing more sustainable, equitable communities, and greater resilience to climate change.

We plan to produce and ensure the availability and create sustainable management of water and sanitation, by giving access to drinking water for the local communities.

With our by-products from the Deep Sea Water (DSW), we wish to create a sustainable local communities through our approach to the blue economy and by creating job opportunities for the local residents, achieving food security and alleviating poverty.

  • Climate Action

Human activities have warmed the atmosphere, ocean and land, producing rapid changes in the atmosphere, ocean and biosphere causing world disasters.

LUMARE aims to protect and manage natural resources, especially the ocean, by using Ocean Thermal Energy technology in generating renewable and clean energy with zero emissions to minimise fossil fuel and diesel usage in rural areas and remote islands in Indonesia.

  • Life Below Water

With our technology, LUMARE aims to conserve and sustainably use the ocean and marine resources for sustainable development in the rural areas and remote islands of Indonesia by generating clean and renewable energy with zero emissions.

At the same time, our by-products from the Deep Sea Water (DSW) can be utilised for improving fishery, seaweed cultivation, aquaculture and salt production.

With our approach to the blue economy and aquaculture, we aim to contribute to poverty eradication by creating sustainable livelihoods, food security and a decent workforce for the local communities.

  • Partnerships For the Goals

LUMARE has a big potential and is a scalable business. We aim to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalise the global partnership for sustainable development in social, economic and environmental aspects.

This activity will also connect the other SDGs, especially in developing sustainable energy, water and sanitation, ocean and blue economy, and promotion of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) as well as promoting cross-cutting approaches and value of stakeholder engagement in planning and decision-making.

To achieve the goals, LUMARE will work closely together with different sectors and actors in an integrated manner by pooling financial resources, knowledge and expertise.
